INFORMATION PAGE ON THE USE OF COOKIES
This website uses cookies and similar technologies to ensure the correct functioning of procedures and to improve the use of online applications. This document provides information on the use of cookies and similar technologies, on how they are used and how to manage them.
Cookies are short text files (letters and/or numbers) which allow the web server to save information on the client (the browser). This information can be reused during the same visit or a later one, even after some days (persistent cookies). Cookies are stored based on the user's preferences for the individual browser on the specific device used (computer, tablet, smart phone).
Similar technologies such as, for instance, web beacons, transparent GIF's and all forms of local storage introduced through HTML5 can be used to gain information on user behaviour and on the use of services.
Below we will refer to cookies and all similar technologies as "cookies".
Depending on the cookies' characteristics and uses, we can distinguish between different categories:
Strictly necessary cookies. These cookies are essential for the proper functioning of the site and are used to manage login and access to reserved features.
Analysis and performance cookies. These cookers are used to anonymously collect and inspect traffic and use of the site. Although these cookies do not identify users, they can show, for instance, whether the same user logs in at different times. They also allow the system to be monitored thus enhancing its performance and usability. You can disable these cookies without losing any feature.
Profiling cookies. These are permanent cookies used to identify (anonymously and otherwise) user preferences and to improve the user's browsing experience. This site does not use this type of cookies.
THI RD-PARTY COOKIES
When visiting a website, cookies can be set by the visited site ("owners") as well as by sites managed by other organizations ("third parties"). Important examples are "social plug-ins" for Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and LinkedIn. They are parts of the visited page directly generated by these sites and incorporated into the page of the hosting site. The most common use of social plug-ins is for sharing content on social networks.
The presence of these plug-ins leads to cookies being set and read by sites managed by third parties. The management of the information collected by "third parties" is governed by the rules relative to those third parties and to which you should refer. For better transparency and convenience, we list the web addresses for the different rules and cookie management modes.
The site also includes some components set by Google Analytics, a web traffic analysis service provided by Google, Inc. ("Google"). Also in this case, there are third-party cookies collected and managed anonymously to monitor and improve the performance of the hosting site (performance cookies).
Google Analytics uses "cookies" to collect and anonymously analyse information on the site's usage behaviour (incl. a user's IP address). This information is collected by Google Analytics, which processes it to create reports for site managers on the activities on the websites. This site does not use (and does not allow others to use) the Google analysis tool to monitor or collect personal identification information. Google does not associate the IP address with any other piece of data owned by Google and does not try to associate any IP address with the identity of a user. Google may also report this information to third parties if the law provides for it and if these parties manage this information on behalf of Google.

Users can choose to disable the Google Analytics function by installing the opt-out component provided by Google. To disable the Google Analytics function, click on this link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

Some cookies (session cookies) are only active until the browser is closed or the user logs out. Other cookies continue to be active after the browser is closed and are also available for later visits.
These cookies are called "persistent" and their duration is established by the server when they are generated. In some cases they expire, in other cases their duration is permanent.
COOKIE MANAGEMENT
Users can decide whether to accept cookies or not by using their browser settings.
Attention: the total or partial deactivation of technical cookies may affect the use of features reserved to signed-in users. On the other hand, the use of public content is possible even by totally disabling cookies.
Disabling "third-party" cookies does not affect browsing in any way.
Settings can be specially defined for different sites and web applications. Moreover, the best browsers allow defining different settings for "owner" and "third-party" cookies.
For example, in Firefox, through the menu Tools->Options->Privacy, you can access a control panel where you can choose whether to accept (or not) the different types of cookies and/or remove them.
